Something For The Animal Lovers...
Asbury Park is one of the most dog-friendly communities around, with its very own dog beach, Doggie Happy Hour "Yappy Hour" at the Wonder Bar, and plenty of pet-friendly hotels. This weekend, the Asbury Park Fall Bazaar will take place in the Grand Arcade of Convention Hall, right on the bustling Asbury Park Boardwalk, where thousands of people stroll with their pets most of year (with the exception of the busy summer months, sadly!).
This year, the Asbury Park Bazaar is excited to feature several pet-friendly vendors and also participate in Clean Ocean Action's Sandy Paws Walk Fur Clean Water, a beach dog walk in Asbury Park on Saturday, September 24th.
Spoiled Paws Bowtique handmakes adorable collars with bow ties and leashes. Owner Jill Wetzel started making collars after adopting her dog Oliver.
"Oliver was a present for my daughter’s eighth birthday and I wanted to surprise her with him in a bow tie. Oliver was so tiny that a special collar was not available in his size. From that moment on I began making fancy collars to spoil dogs and cats of all sizes! I named it Spoiled Paws Bowtique because I started making collars with bow ties and have since added, neck ties and flowers that can be attached to any collar."
Jill has been hand making collar for almost 3 years now. She loves to search for new fabrics and sketch up new ideas.
"I have always had a love for animals and now I am able to use my love of sewing to create beautiful collars for both dogs and cats. When I get new prints I can’t wait to get sewing."
You can purchase Spoiled Paws goods on her online store spoiledpawsnj.com and ETSY shop, as well as find her at various markets in the area.
"My favorite place to vend is definitely Asbury Park. Asbury has a wonderful community of pet lovers who live locally and vacation in town. I hope to soon be selling my collars in a store in Asbury Park."
