Asbury Park Night Market Food Vendor FAQ:

  1. When are the vendor fees due? Vendor fees are due a week after the acceptance letter has been received.

  2. Can I use a fryer or open flame like propane or butane? Sternos are acceptable, but propane/butane and charcoal are strictly prohibited. There is no open flame allowed in the venue. If you own a food truck and would like to park outside of the event to use as the back of house, you will need to discuss this with management.

  3. How much is the vendor fee? Booth cost is $250 for 10x10 space rental.

  4. Is there Wi-fi available for payments? Vendors are responsible for collecting and processing payment for their goods and services at the event so you will need to bring your own wi-fi network. Accepting both cash and credit cards is recommended.

  5. Do employees have to be 21+ too? Yes, this is an exclusively indoor event for guests aged 21 and older. Unless discussed with management beforehand.

  6. Is electricity provided? Each vendor is allowed TWO 120v plugs. No powerstrips allowed.

  7. Will I be the only vendor selling that menu? Yes.

  8. What is the approximate guest count? 600-800 throughout the night.

  9. How do I submit payment? Via the link in your acceptance email.

  10. What are the portion sizes? This is a night event, so we recommend focusing on “street food” like food items, i.e. tacos, items on a stick, things that are easy to consume while dancing and walking. No menu item shall exceed $13 unless discussed with management.

  11. If I bring unapproved items, what happens? You will be asked to change the item onsite. If this is not completed, you will not be invited to future events.

  12. Do I need a Monmouth County Health Department Certification? Yes, if you are not an already registered restaurant with the town.

  13. How does the Asbury Park Night Market promote? The Asbury Park Night Market promotes the events via social media. Share photo or video content provided by the vendor of menu items and promote them on our social media and newsletter. We also run ads promoting the event on social media and invite influencers and media.

  14. Is the Asbury Park Night Market indoor and at night? Yes.

  15. Are there menu restrictions? Yes. We do not double up on vendors, so you will need to submit a menu beforehand. If there is something that another vendor already signed up for, we will ask you to switch the item.

  16. What does the vendor fee include? 10x10 space and TWO 120v plugs.

  17. Will I need to bring my own water? There are bathrooms onsite where you can get water for heating sources, however you will need to bring your own filtered water if needed.

  18. Do I need to bring my own hand truck, table, light? We will NOT have any hand truck or table available so you will need to bring your own. This is also a nighttime event so we require for you to bring a battery operated light. (example: https://amzn.to/3SPCCWm)
