Kristin and Kate

“Sisters make the best friends in the world.” —Marilyn Monroe

Today’s LOVE STORIES features Kristin Albrecht, owner of Wolfe Lane CBD. It’s a super sweet love story involving two sisters.

Wolf Lane CBD is a line of natural & organic CBD body care products. Handmade, small batch & lab tested. Kristin infuses the products with botanical blends of healing herbs and essential oils. She designes everything herself including recipes, labels and website, and sources ingredients from small or family owned businesses and small farms whenever possible.

Read her love story below and be sure to stop by the Asbury Park Valentine’s Bazaar in the Grand Arcade of Convention Hall on Saturday, Feb 12th to shop!

Tell us your love story.

My sister, Kate! I was in kindergarten and I remember being so excited to have a baby sister. With the age gap though, we weren't very close growing up - we were never in the same elementary/middle/high school, and then I went off to college and moved away. We sort of re-met each other as young adults when she came to Atlanta to drive with me back to Pennsylvania. It was a beautiful reunion, and both of us were surprised to learn about our many similarities and the easy and fun dynamic between us. We spent a good part of that summer fantasizing about someday having a business together. That was 14 years ago!

Does she play a role in your small business?

Yes! Kate is my inspiration for Drummer's Hands. It was actually a psychic sister moment - I had silently been writing in my journal, questioning what product to make next (at the time I had just created my first product), when she held out her hands, bruised and swollen after returning to hand drumming (and overdoing it) after a month off because of an injury.

"Kristin," she said, "the next product you make should be something that's good for pain, and swelling, something that's good for bruising, to help heal..." As she spoke, I took notes, and after she finished, I told her what I had JUST been asking myself. We were both amazed. Drummer's Hands was born. So much has followed, and she is a part of my business to this day.

She travels to shows with me, and her help, her enthusiasm, and her support are invaluable to me. We're looking at expanding together to include more health and wellness products. Plus, it's so much better to be together - the energy between us is so dynamic, creative, fun, inspirational, and hilarious. We laugh a lot.

What do you love best about your sister?

She's soft where I'm not. Emotionally. I love getting her perspective on things, we balance each other well. I love her diplomacy and the way she connects with people. She's got beautiful enthusiasm, optimism, and a youthful spirit. She is encouraging, she's a great sounding board, and she is ALWAYS down for a road trip or adventure.

What are your favorite things to do together?

Road trips, hiking, dreaming & scheming. And just being together is fun. I feel so blessed to have her as my sister and by my side.

What do you love most about the Asbury Park Bazaar?

The vibrant community of vendors - there is such great quality, unique pieces, and tasteful things to offer. Being from Pennsylvania, I love the chance to spend time down by the ocean when I come to these events. The settings are beautiful and the people are warm and welcoming.

What will you be selling at the Valentine’s Bazaar?

We'll be at the Valentines Bazaar with my line of hand made, small batch CBD products. Drummer's Hands is great for aches and pains, the Face & Body Balm is my ultimate moisturizer, the Body Oil is great for all over care. I've got organic vegan gummies as well! I'll be running a Valentine's Special with my Body/Massage CBD Oil and CBD Lip Balms, for you to indulge yourself and/or a loved one, so be sure to check out our booth at the Grand Arcade of Convention Hall. Can't wait to see you there to kick off the 2022 season!

Don’t miss Wolfe Lane CBD at the Asbury Park Valentine’s Bazaar on Saturday, February 12th from noon to 5 pm in the Grand Arcade of Convention Hall.
